RepTime Privacy Policy
RepTime helps you earn time in the apps you choose to limit by doing exercise. This page says what the app does with your information. The short version: your workouts, steps and app choices stay on your iPhone, and RepTime has no account, no ads and no tracking.
What stays on your iPhone
- Camera. The camera is used only while you exercise, to count repetitions and valid holds on the device. Camera images and body-pose data are processed in memory and are never saved or sent anywhere.
- Apple Health (steps). If you allow it, RepTime reads today’s step count, and walking and running distance for display. Steps are turned into earned minutes on your device. RepTime does not keep your Health history and does not send Health data anywhere.
- Screen Time selection. The apps and websites you choose to limit are picked in Apple’s own picker. RepTime keeps only the opaque selection Apple returns, on your iPhone. RepTime cannot see which apps you picked, and it does not see your app usage.
- Your progress. Earned minutes, aura, streaks, trophies, your buddy, your settings and your optional Hard Mode passcode are stored on your iPhone. The passcode is kept in the iOS Keychain.
- Reminders. If you turn them on, reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone.
What leaves your iPhone
- Purchases. Subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime purchase are sold through the App Store. RepTime uses RevenueCat to check whether your subscription or purchase is active. RevenueCat receives purchase information and an anonymous app user ID generated by the app, and Apple processes your payment. RevenueCat also receives a token from Apple’s AdServices framework that says whether the app was installed from an Apple Ads campaign; it does not identify you or follow you across other apps. RepTime never sees your payment details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.
- Usage analytics. RepTime sends a short, fixed list of usage events to PostHog, our analytics provider: the onboarding screens you view, whether you connect Screen Time, whether you finish the demo workout and how many reps were counted, when the plans are shown, the plan you tap and whether the purchase went through, and when the app is installed, updated, opened or closed. Each event carries a random ID created by the app, the app version and general device information (such as the iPhone model, iOS version and language). It never includes your name, email, camera images, Health data, your Screen Time selection or the apps you use, and location lookup from your IP address is turned off. We use it only to see where RepTime can be improved. See PostHog’s privacy policy.
- Links you open. If you open our community or support link, or a web page from the app, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
What RepTime does not do
- No account or sign-in, and no name, email or phone number is collected by the app.
- No advertising, no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of personal data.
- No session recordings and no screen-by-screen tracking: the usage events above are the only analytics the app sends.
The reptime.app website
The app and the website are separate. The website, reptime.app, uses Google Analytics only if you accept it in the cookie banner. Then Google Analytics sets cookies and receives the pages you visit, the button you tap to reach the App Store, and general device, browser and approximate location information, so we can see which pages help people. Google’s advertising features are not used. If you decline, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of each page. See Google’s privacy policy. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your iPhone until you remove it. In RepTime, Settings › Reset Progress erases your minutes, streak, levels, trophies and history. Deleting the app removes everything it stores, including your buddy choice, passcode, reminders and blocked-app selection. Subscription records are held by Apple and RevenueCat; to ask about them, contact us using the details below.
Children
RepTime is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
